frozen green bean recipe

Inspired by my last post about kids cooking in Passaic, I thought I'd
pass on this really neat, kid-friendly recipe for green beans, eaten
as a side dish or a snack, with chopsticks or your hands! As usual,
it's easy to make,

When you're done
with the produce section, head over to the frozen veggie section and
eyeball the selection. Sometimes the fresh green beans look kinda
pathetic but you can always get decent frozen ones. I always keep
frozen baby Lima
Let stand, covered, at least 1 minutes, fluff with
fork, and serve. Serves 4 as an accompaniment. And voila! Turkey
masala with basmati rice. Now I have to find a use for that frozen
green bean casserole.

And when it had
heated in my crockpot for that extra two or three hours, what I had in
my crockpot was a lovely turmeric yellow pot of mush with flecks of
green from the soy beans. The flavor was terrific, but the texture
was… mush.

I found
this recipe in Southern Living and thought it would make a festive
looking side dish for the Christmas table. The recipe calls for frozen
green beans but I will probably substitute fresh, leave the beans
whole for a prettier

This flavorful
dish from Marilyn Farmer of Centerville, Utah dresses up frozen green
beans with onion, cheese, bread crumbs and garlic. It's easy enough to
serve any day of the week.
